For the past two years, the South Huntington chapter of Create for Kids has been dedicated to spreading kindness and support to children in hospitals. One of their most remarkable accomplishments has been creating and delivering hundreds of handmade cards filled with encouraging messages and colorful artwork.

Through their commitment to service, the chapter has demonstrated that even a simple handwritten card can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life. Their members continue to inspire others through their compassion, creativity, and dedication to helping children in need. We are proud to recognize this chapter for its incredible

impact and the hundreds of smiles it has helped create through their constant acts of kindness.

The chapter has also developed several traditions that help create a strong sense of community among its members. Each month, members recognize the student who creates the most creative and inspiring card by implementing their Artist of the Month award. This tradition encourages creativity while motivating members to put extra thought and care into the cards they create for children in hospitals.

Another favorite tradition is the chapter’s annual Friendsgiving event, held before Thanksgiving break. During this gathering, members come together to share food, make handmade cards, and enjoy time with friends while giving

back to children in need. The event serves as a reminder that community service can be both meaningful and enjoyable. By combining friendship and creativity, Friendsgiving has become a special opportunity for members to strengthen their connections with one another while continuing the chapter’s mission of spreading kindness.

Since its founding, the South Huntington chapter has experienced tremendous growth. What began with just 10–20 students attending the first few meetings has expanded into a well-known club. This growth reflects the chapter's commitment to service and the positive impact it continues to have on both its members and the children it supports.
